What is VPA (Virtual Payment Address)?

A VPA is your unique UPI identifier — like an email address for money. It looks like 'yourname@oksbi' or 'restaurant@paytm'. Customers send UPI payments to your VPA from any UPI app.

In detail

Every UPI account has a VPA. You can have multiple VPAs from different banks or UPI apps, all linked to the same bank account.

Business VPAs are recommended for restaurants with monthly volume above ₹5 lakh. They're linked to a current account, give cleaner GST reconciliation, and are less likely to be flagged by the bank for high volume.

ZaikaQR stores your VPA in the owner dashboard. Every customer transaction uses it as the destination for UPI deep links.

Why it matters for your restaurant

Understanding VPA (Virtual Payment Address) helps you evaluate restaurant software properly, talk to your tech vendors with confidence, and make better-informed pricing and operational decisions.
