What is Thermal Printer?

A thermal printer is a small receipt printer that uses heat-sensitive paper (no ink). It prints KOTs and bills at the kitchen and counter. The standard size in India is 80mm.

In detail

Thermal printers are silent, fast, and have no ink to refill — heat-sensitive paper darkens where the print head touches it. Standard receipt and KOT widths are 80mm (most common) and 58mm (compact).

Connection is typically Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or USB. ZaikaQR connects to any standard ESC/POS-compatible thermal printer over Bluetooth.

Popular models in India: Posiflex, TVS, Epson TM-T82, Atrum. A reliable one costs ₹3,500-6,000.
